Meditations in Circles
Finding inspiration and significance in the creative process, I wanted to create a system for a repetitive pattern that could evolve and be made into different pieces every time. With the continuous repetition having a meditative and relaxing effect. Allowing for experimentation with color palettes, composition, movement, and materials. Each drawing takes between 30 and 60 hours to make and have increased in intricacy as well as size. This series intends to visualize what obscurity looks like. Inspired by how I picture concepts and ideas beyond my comprehension, thoughts I can’t fully articulate or remember, and fading memories. Something happening inside your head that is just out of reach, turning into color fragments.
